The Red Paddle Co Nine Eight Ride, an all-round board that’s great in the surf.
Red Paddle Co’s Nine Eight Board takes its shape from the massively popular 10’6″ Ride and adds more to make it work in even more conditions. At 31″ wide it’s a stable ride, while the shorter length, narrower tail and kick pad on the tail makes it quick to turn. The RSS battens add up to 40% rigidity over any other inflatable board of these proportions, making a responsive and authentic SUP experience.
What SUP North thinks
The 9’8 Ride is a great board that we all love to paddle in any conditions, especially in surf. With the shape being similar to the popular Ten Six Ride, it’s just as stable for most riders, with a little more maneouvrability and a little less to carry! Stepping back for pivot turns can be one easy step, and you can push the limit by getting the nose in the air, but (mostly) staying dry.
The smart graphics give a modern clean look, with embossed deckpad, stiffer ifins and improved bungee tie downs. With the fantastic ergonomic backpack the 9’8 Ride is an ideal board for those looking for quick turns and wave performance – perfect for Merseyside waves!
