The Northern SUP Racing Winter Series kicks off on Saturday February 11th, with a fun race on Southport marine lake. All paddlers are welcome – there’s a 3km course for all-round boards under 12’6, a 5km course for race boards 12’6 and over, and a 1km course for juniors.
We’ll have loads of SUP-related prizes which will be won by a raffle based on race numbers – so you only have to be in it to win it! Star prize is a 2017 Starboard Tiki Tech Hybrid Carbon paddle. There will also be medals for top 3 finishers in each category.
Southport Sailing Club will kindly be hosting for the third year in a row – this means free lakeside parking, use of changing rooms and showers, hot drinks and snacks, as well as a great place for spectators to watch.
Registration starts at 10am, with a safety briefing at 11.30, and race start at 12 noon. There’s more information on our Facebook page here. Board hire is available – get in touch to book.
