We were invited to Windermere Canoe Kayak annual Summer Solstice festival weekend on the 22nd-23rd of June. This was the first year Stand Up Paddle boards took part in the race and, since the Lake District is only up the M6 from SUP North’s home in Southport, we jumped at the chance.

SUP North had a range of stand up paddle boards from Starboard, Red Paddle Co and Fanatic available for demos and free taster sessions.
The icing on the cake to this weekend was our evening paddle from the demo site at Fell Foot Park to the Swan Hotel where we had an amazing meal and relaxing paddle back up Windermere on mirror flat water, with the last light of the summer solstice to find our way by – breathtaking.
It was a great weekend and we’re looking forward to next year!
